A guiding principle for the Garden is to ensure structures in the space are open-ended, encourage incremental courageous movement activity, and facilitate touch, imagination and improvisation.
Thoughtfully placed mesh metal structures close to the shed, where there are mature existing trees, are used to encourage visual and textural play with materials found in the environment.
Taking from bark naturally left behind by the existing trees and incorporating other paper materials, students are collaboratively creating woven murals in prepared walls and fencing next to the shed.
