“I am an architect performing, designing, and researching exclusively for people with cognitive impairments and issues of sensory perception. I acknowledge my privilege as an able-bodied, healthy, highly educated, middle-class white male, and I share none of the direct physical or mental traumas of those individuals or collectives I design alongside. Within my work I draw attention to the inequalities of the built environment; interrogating, contemplating and then re-articulating them through an architectural lens of care.”
— Anthony Clarke
